The Supreme Court of Canada has found that while Newfoundland and Labrador’s barring of non-residents from entering the province during part of the COVID-19 pandemic violated people’s mobility rights, it was justified due to rising case numbers, a loss of life and scientific uncertainty: Taylor v.
