Law360 Canada ( August 15, 2018, 8:36 AM EDT) -- Application by Doshi for judicial review of Health Canada's decision refusing his request for information concerning drugs. Doshi, who was an assistant professor at a university, applied to obtain unpublished information, including clinical trial reports, concerning five drugs. He stated that he would use the data for two distinct projects. Health Canada refused the request because he refused to sign a confidentiality agreement that would prevent him from disseminating or publishing the information. The parties agreed that the requested information was "confidential business information" within the meaning of s. 21.1(3) of the Food and Drugs Act....
