Wojcik exhibited concerning behaviour, including pointing a firearm at his spouse and expressing suicidal ideations. He was detained under the Mental Health Act after being found with a knife at a hospital, and his spouse reported previous incidents involving firearms. The court found that Wojcik posed a risk to public safety. A judge of the Provincial Court granted a forfeiture order to the Attorney General of New Brunswick, directing that all weapons belonging to Wojcik be disposed of.
