The Supreme Court ruled 6-3 that the CDSA’s immunity from charge and conviction for simple possession of a controlled substance for those who seek emergency help for, or remain at the scene of, a drug overdose also bars arrest for that offence: R. v. Wilson, 2025 SCC 32. MORE TO COME.
