Law360 Canada (January 19, 2026, 1:26 PM EST) -- Legal advocates in British Columbia are gearing up for Access to Justice Week, which will run from Feb. 2 to 6.

This year’s theme for Access to Justice Week is “From Challenges to Possibilities: Reimagining Access to Justice,” which will examine how economic pressures and social inequities can offer opportunities to transform what justice looks like. Speakers will explore how research, practice and innovation work together to better understand the outcomes of our legal system and to identify models that can more effectively support those in need.

The five-day event, which is organized annually by Access to Justice BC, is an opportunity for law students, educators, community advocates and the legal profession to engage in meaningful dialogue about how to improve the justice system and integrate access-to-justice efforts into their daily work.

In-person and virtual events are being offered, with topics including the integration of access-to-justice work in private practice, how courts and tribunals are working with self-represented litigants who use artificial intelligence tools, and strengthening public legal education, as well as looking at restorative routes to justice and the future of access to justice.

Event listings can be found here.
