Shared parenting and relocating abroad: How do courts decide?

One parent wants to move with the child to a location that is too far to keep the existing arrangement workable — usually to pursue a new job or relationship. Assuming the other parent or court approves, at best this may simply call for a parenting time adjustment; one that also sees the child being shuttled longer distances between nearby cities, for designated days or weeks....
