By Darryl Singer ( January 26, 2022, 10:46 AM EST) -- Across Canada, in print, television, radio and social media, we are once again being bombarded with Bell Canada’s mental health awareness campaign and reminded that Jan. 26 is Bell Let’s Talk Day. As someone who has spent the last 10 years advocating, writing, speaking and volunteering on mental health issues, I should be delighted with this sort of corporate focus on mental health issues. Yet, I believe Bell Let’s Talk is endemic of the sort of corporate performative advocacy that has become en vogue in Canada. Lots of moving lips, not so much moving change....
