Canadian courts accept full value in soft-tissue injury cases

On Nov. 16, 2022, Justice Julianne Lamb of the British Columbia Supreme Court in Vasan v. Herd, [2022] B.C.J. No. 2216, returned assessed damages of the injured plaintiff in the total amount of $738,812.52 that included $140,000 for non-pecuniary general damages and $478,400 for past loss of income and future loss of earnings capacity....
