Law commission seeks proposals for new law reform projects

Law360 Canada (May 9, 2025, 2:30 PM EDT) -- The Law Commission of Ontario (LCO) is seeking public proposals for new law reform projects.
According to an announcement from the LCO, this is an opportunity for individuals and organizations to work with Ontario’s leading law reform agency to develop independent, principled and authoritative advice on important legal issues.
The LCO’s current work includes projects addressing AI in the criminal and administrative justice systems, protection orders and protections against intimate partner violence, and environmental accountability.
Any person or organization residing in Ontario can submit a proposal, including legal professionals, legal organizations, NGOs, governments, academics or members of the public.
The deadline to submit your proposal is
June 27, 2025.
